2010 Judge
Noel Waite graduated from Swinburne University in Art & Design and became a Fashion Illustrator for some years with Myer Melbourne and later a partner in Fashion Art Studio.
Noel was very sought after for her free line and wash technique
which she also used for her landscape painting. She has undertaken many portrait commissions and has held nine solo exhibitions and three duo shows of recent years.
Noel has lectured on watercolour techniques to tertiary students and was invited to submit work at the Swinburne Eclectics Exhibitions at Delshan in 2006 and 2008. She was a Guest Artist and Judge at the Camberwell Rotary Show in 2006 and the Waverley Watercolour Exhibition in 2009.
Noel has been commissioned to paint a number of personalities including the previous Chief Commissioner of Police, Christine Nixon in 2008. She has received a ‘Highly Commended’ for her Portrait in the Nada Hunter Portrait Prize at the VAS (Victorian Artists Society) in 2009.
Noel was previously Vice-president of the Watercolour Society and is currently commencing her third year as President of the Victorian Artists Society.
In addition to being a talented water colour artist in 1993, Noel was appointed an Officer of the Order of Australia for "service to business and management, particularly for advancing the development of women in management." Noel is also the designer of the Top Steps Career Development series, The Ultimate Step and The Board Step.
